Swiss International School to open in Tamins
By the end of August 2010 the Greater Zurich Area
can boast another international School. The Swiss International
School (SIS) Chur-Tamins will take up operations in Tamins
(Canton Grisons).
The opening of the SIS Chur-Tamins is another crucial step
forward for the business location Grisons. Daniel Capaul of the
Economic Development and Tourism Agency of Grisons says:
«Offering of international schools is a compulsory prerequisite
for a dynamic, globally oriented business region. The SIS
Chur-Tamins surely is an additional benefit for Grisons; for it
provides an education for children of international management
and expat specialists that is in compliance with international
standards. With this, SIS increases also the appeal of Grisons
as international business location.»
About SIS Chur-Tamins
Tamins is the sixth branch SIS has opened in Switzerland. SIS
Chur-Tamins provides day-school facilities. Children do not only
spend class time at school but are given the opportunity to
participate in extracurricular activities. At first SIS
Chur-Tamins will offer courses at pre-K and kindergarten level,
as well as first and second grade of primary school. Given
sufficient demand SIS Chur-Tamins will add third grade courses
later on.
